Due to technical issues during the November 15th Public Hearing, the Planning Commission's public hearings on two zoning amendments were unable to conclude and will be continued. The Commission will hear additional public comment and conclude the discussion related to the following zoning amendments, which are detailed below:
ZA-22-04: UVM Trinity Campus Overlay
The Planning Commission will continue the public hearing for the proposed zoning amendment, which would facilitate greater amounts of student housing on UVM's Trinity Campus. The amendment is part of the Mayor's 10-Point Housing Action Plan to ease the burden of housing costs and address the lack of supply in Burlington.
ZA-23-01: South End Innovation District
The Commission will continue the public hearing for this proposed amendment. The overlay, if approved, will facilitate development of a mixed use district with space for hundreds of new homes and space for artist, makers, and the South End's growing office economy.
