Celebrate the solstice with an early morning hike up the 3.7 mile Mount Ascutney Road to watch sunrise from the parking lot at the top. We'll meet at the base of the Mt Ascutney Road on Back Mountain Rd. Bring either micro-spikes or snowshoes with spikes (depending on snow amount), poles, and a head lamp. Dress in layers. Bring water, snacks, etc. This will be a steep and strenuous 7.4-mile round-trip hike on the unplowed, icy road.

At the top, we'll hopefully have beautiful views of the sunrise, hot cider, coffee and snacks before starting our descent.
