The Trustees of the Johnson Historical Society hope you will stop by the Holcomb House, 188 Main Street, Johnson between 4 and 7 PM on Friday, December 9th to help welcome the holiday season. There will be homemade cookies and also copies of the book, Johnson, which can be a terrific holiday gift for family and friends.
The book was published by the Arcadia Publishing Company in their "Image of America" series and released for sale on October 17, 2011. The book includes 234 captioned photographs relating to Johnson. Organized by the Johnson Historical Society, Linda Jones, Lois Frey, Dean West, & Alice Whiting spent more than 650 hours during the winter of 2011 researching and writing the captions to record Johnson's history during the 1900s. If you never got a copy, you can pick one up for $20, autographed by the authors. Trustees will be there to answer questions about the Historical Society and its collection of artifacts, art, and memorabilia.
