You're Invited! Come Downtown for Friday Night Lights & Earn Some "Bethel Bucks"
The lights are on and Bethel is hopping this holiday season! Come out on Friday, December 9 for a special "Friday Night Lights" downtown open house and holiday stroll, free hot cocoa and cookie bar, shopping, and more. As a thanks for participating, you can earn $5 in "Bethel Bucks" and enter a $100 downtown gift card raffle!
More than a dozen businesses and community groups are teaming up to light up the town from 4-7 PM, and kickstart a bright new year. This special event is a free, fun, family-friendly chance to shop, eat, stroll and explore your way around town.
• See the downtown holiday lights. Enjoy Bethel while it's all lit up. Don't miss a one-night-only luminaria display created by the One Planet kids at White River Valley School.
• Visit the "Bright Ideas" Open House at Town Hall. Join Bethel for All to see the big ideas and draft streetscape designs in our village accessibility plan and get $100 fake "Bethel Bucks" to vote on your favorite projects. Enjoy a free hot cocoa and cookie bar created by White River Valley Middle School students and learn more about the new Community + School program.
• Drop into the Energy Committee's Open House at Town Hall to learn what's happening, get involved, and walk away with some fun freebies.
• Explore the Bethel Historical Society Museum at Town Hall. Browse historic photos and artifacts, ask about local history, and sign the guest book for a chance to win a special prize.
• Shop, taste, and buy local at Holiday Markets and businesses. Visit the Arnold Block and Blossom Block holiday markets for gifts made by creative local artisans. Visit Day Breaks Glass's art gallery and check out course listings. Check out a wide selection of gifts, housewares, art, and more at downtown businesses.
• Plan dinner and drinks out and grab a treat at our downtown food and drink joints. Try a special wine tasting at Third Branch Wines. Show your Bethel Bucks punch card for 1/2 off a drink at Babes or a free soda/cider. Try the soup and bread special at HailBrook's Broken Stove Bakery or grab a slice at Cockadoodle.
• Volunteer and support Project Happy Holidays. Drop into the White Church from 3-5 PM and help decorate for the Project Happy Holidays event on Saturday, December 10. Drop off unwrapped toys or gifts or a donation anytime!

Want to grab $5 in free spending money at a downtown business? We want to thank everyone for participating in Friday Night Lights, shopping and eating locally, volunteering and sharing ideas to make Bethel a better place.
• Pick up a punch card on Friday, December 9 at Town Hall (4-7 PM) or at the Arnold Block December 10-11.
• Get a "punch" for each activity you do or purchase you make December 9-11.
• Once you get five punches, exchange your card for a $5 "Bethel Bucks" token (limited to 80 prizes). Everyone turning in a card will also be entered into a raffle for a $100 downtown gift card and other great prizes.
• Spend your token at participating businesses by December 18.

Friday Night Lights and Bethel Bucks are collaborative community pop-up projects and events, a partnership of more than a dozen Bethel businesses and organizations. They are organized and supported by Bethel for All, a village accessibility planning process that is funded by a Vermont Better Connections grant.
