Yuletide Concert & Sing-A-Long Benefit Dec. 9

This festive community gathering and holiday concert features favorite carols and festive music of the season performed by the Cauld Wind, Green Mountain Celts, The Shimmering Flute Trio and the Good Shepherd Contemporary Praise Band. A lovely and entertaining evening for all ages! All donations of cash and/or food will benefit The Jericho-Underhill Ecumenical Ministries Food Shelf and the breakfast program. The food shelf distributes food one Saturday a month from 9:00-11:30am. Generally, the distribution occurs on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Cauld Wind
An ensemble of Scottish Small Pipers and a Bodhran from around Vermont and Canada. The Scottish Small pipes are the smaller, quieter offspring of the great Highland bagpipes and are designed for indoor listening. Their music is primarily traditional Scottish tunes.

Green Mountain Celts
Green Mountain Celts share the spirit of ancestral Celtic roots and bring to life a timeless beauty of traditional Scottish, Irish and other Celtic inspired music with repertoire that reflects the heart of the Celtic culture.

Good Shepherd Contemporary Praise Band
The Good Shepherd Praise Band is a group of musicians from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Jericho, VT. The group was established in 2010 to lead a contemporary worship service which is offered about four times a year. The group which includes 3 lead singers, piano, guitar, bass, and drums has been a regular at the Benefit Christmas Concert held at Good Shepherd.

The Shimmering Flutes Trio
Musicians from Jericho, Underhill and Williston make up the flute trio with piano accompaniment. They enjoy playing a wide range of styles and genres from classical to religious to popular, and they have been making music together for several years. Music for flute choir (and piano) may be written specifically for this instrumentation or often as an arrangement.
