HUMAN RIGHTS DAY IS DEC. 10

On December 10, visit the Human Rights Day page on the Town of Milton website or Facebook page to join us in celebrating the 74th anniversary of the United Nations' adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). All day long we will share inspirational artwork, discussion topics, and important information related to reducing inequalities, advancing human rights, fostering a resilient and just community, and celebrating the protection of inalienable human rights.

HUMAN RIGHTS PLEDGE
We encourage everyone to take the Human Rights Pledge at https://www.standup4humanrights.org/en/pledge.html
- I will respect your rights regardless of who you are. I will uphold your rights even when I disagree with you.
- When anyone's human rights are denied, everyone's rights are undermined, so I will STAND UP.
- I will raise my voice. I will take action. I will use my rights to stand up for your rights.

ILLUSTRATED UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS
Read through an illustrated version of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at https://www.un.org/en/udhrbook/
This Illustrated version was created and designed in a partnership between the artist Yacine Ait Kaci (YAK) creator of Elyx, the United Nations Regional Information Center (UNRIC), and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights - Regional Office for Europe (OHCHR).
