STEAM Ahead Saturdays continues at the Winooski Memorial Library this month for youth ages 5 and up! Each Saturday from 10-11 AM features a project for young learners that introduces participants to science, technology, engineering, and art and math-based concepts.
December STEAM Schedule:
• December 3rd, Cardboard Lacing Snowflakes: We'll get crafty by weaving snowflake designs into cardboard using various colored yarns.
• December 10th, DIY Pop-up Cards: Make your own three-dimensional cards! This is a fun way to introduce simple engineering principles by understanding how different pop-up mechanisms work.
• December 17th, Winter Slime: Join us in making an icy and sparkly version of slime, a stretchy manipulative toy.
• December 24th and 31st: No Steam Ahead – the Library will have a holiday closure on each of these Saturdays.
