July 23, Neighborhood Planning Assembly (NPA) invites all North End residents to meet candidates for Sheriff and School Board. As the area of the city with the highest degree of civic engagement, we also have the most active elections and highest voter turnout in the city. It all starts with an active NPA!

NPA Candidate Night is an opportunity to learn about the demands of each position, and discuss relevant current issues. These positions have "job descriptions" but too often we vote for who we know or who we like without knowledge of specific skills and experience required of the position. Who knows what the Sheriff does? What skills are required of a School Commissioner today?
