Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Capital City Grange Hall, on Rt. 12 just south of the I-89 overpass, about 1 mile south of Montpelier, we'll have Will Mentor teaching and calling excellent dances. Music will be provided by an all-star band: Sam Bartlett (mandolin), Stuart Kenney (upright bass & banjo), Julie Metcalf (fiddle and maybe jawharp!) and Max Newman (guitar). They'll be playing from 8:00 to 11:00, with a break at about 9:30.
As usual, we'll have an instruction/newcomers' session starting about 7:40. We always have some new folks coming to try out the dancing, and we're always happy to have them! Caller Will Mentor will help you get comfortable as he teaches the basics, and our friendly dancers will welcome you into the dance.
We do require good masks: N95, KN94/95 or medical/surgical masks--we'll give you one if you need it! Admission prices: $12 for adults, $5 for kids & low-income folks, or help us pay the bands and callers well by being a "dance supporter" for $20! We have buttons available to write your name on, which helps us know who we're dancing with.
