Advent Begins at Charlotte Congregational Church

Advent is the season in the Christian Church leading up to Christmas on 12/25. Advent will begin on Sunday, 11/27 and will continue through Christmas Eve, 12/24.

Join us at Charlotte Congregational Church this Sunday (in person or by livestream), 11/27 for the first Sunday of Advent:
- our Christmas tree has been set up
- we will like the Advent Wreath candle of Hope
- our choir, directed by our new Director of Music, Cameron Brownell will sing "O Come, O Come Emmanuel
- I will preach a sermon titled, "Resting Myself Awake," based on Matthew 24:36-44
- our Sunday School will begin practicing for the Annual Christmas Pageant to be held on Sunday 12/18 at 10am
- our annual Giving Tree Christmas gift collection to benefit children at LUND and through the Charlotte Food Shelf will begin
- our service will be followed by a reception with coffee, tea and treats for all

Charlotte Congregational Church invites you, whoever you are and wherever you are on your spiritual journey, to participate in any and all of the events we have planned to help us prepare for and celebrate the birth of the Christ-child.
