Hi there - and Happy Thanksgiving!
For those that were CFI fans when we played every weekend at TAP25 for 3+ years...and for those that continue to support us and hang at our shows...at Alchemist, Foam, Lawson's, Flynn Space, The 126, etc...well, we are starting a brand new 'residency' this Friday the 25th of November...
Where? At the newly redesigned (and HUGELY cool) bar and lounge at Après Only, at Field Guide Lodge on the Mountain Road. They made the place into this amazing 1980's style ski bar...you have to see it...really. Bring your Moon Boots...
Who? Well, this incarnation of CFI is our quartet with myself, Mike Hartigan, John Rivers and Geza Carr...and if you know us already, our tunes range from JJ Cale to Bob Marley to Miles Davis to Hendrix to NRBQ to Shawn Colvin to Herbie Hancock to Marvin Gaye and The Allman Brothers Band to original tunes...and quite a few others. We'll call the shots from our rather expansive list of tunes...you just never know what is going to come down. And...we just could see some of our horn section stop in from time to time. No, it's not an open mic or jam...no sit-ins...but the occasional guest appearance? Yes...you betcha!
And no, there's no cover charge...but there IS a tip jar, so bring the keys to your Porche (as long as it's got snows on it) ;)
We are SO looking forward to this residency and sincerely thank John B and the folks from Lark Hotels, Mike at Field Guide and all our pals that continue to hang with the band...we intend to make this the 'funnest' (!) apres-ski event this winter - every week...we'll be posting the FB events each week and hanging posters locally...
So - yeah - it's Thanksgiving this Thursday. But the night AFTER that, you just might need to get out of the house with (or without!!) your relatives! Come hang with us at 'The AO Lounge'...dance off the stuffing.
