Gather at Rokeby and learn about an exciting app that can help you introduce the world of local birds to your students and all the while enable them to be community scientists contributing valuable information to a worldwide database used by conservation scientists. The eBird program was developed by and is maintained by the famed Cornell Lab of Ornithology. It can be used on a pc, tablet, android, or smartphone and by people at all levels of "computer literacy" and all levels of birding experience. With it, your students can contribute to science and conservation while engaging with nature in fun outdoor activities. It is usable in lower grades with adult directions.
