On behalf of the board, let me say a HUGE thank you for everyone who engaged in the conversation about the district fund balance and improvements to the high school track. We deeply appreciate the emails, the folks who showed up to meetings, the posts on FPF and Friends of MRPS group on Facebook, as well as those who kept the conversation alive in our community. The board has decided to allocate $1.9M of our savings account to ensure our student athletes have the facilities they deserve; and our decision was better & stronger thanks to all of you.

We'll be hearing a report on the visioning process and results, as well as working on policies that address how the board governs and works with the superintendent. The equity committee will be making a brief update regarding the benefits of conducting an equity audit.
