Stowe Land Trust, the Waterbury Conservation Commission, and the Shutesville Hill Wildlife Corridor Partnership invite you to the latest in the Partnership's live conservation education programs. The Partnership has provided informative programs to assist landowners seeking to conserve their forest land, as well as to educate the public on this internationally important wildlife corridor.
Tomorrow, November 15, Jim Shallow, Director, Strategic Conservation Initiatives at the Nature Conservancy will discuss the Family Forest Carbon Program. Developed by The Nature Conservancy and the American Forest Foundation, the Family Forest Carbon Program enables forest owners with qualifying forest land of 30 or more acres to access carbon markets by conserving or managing their forest land. The program empowers landowners to help address climate change while earning income from their land, and is available to qualifying landowners throughout Vermont.
The program will be held on November 15 at Zenbarn in Waterbury. The event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is appreciated--a link can be found at:
