The 18th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the area's seniors will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2022 at the Waterbury Senior Center. The dinners are offered at no charge as a way for the community to say 'Thank You' to it's seniors for helping make our communities the caring and supportive places that they are.
Albert Caron, owner of Waterbury Service Center and chief organizer of the event, started this event in 2003 and it now has become a holiday tradition in Waterbury (with the exception of two years off for Covid). The dinner begins at noon and anyone over the age of 65 may bring up to four family members who will also receive dinners at no charge.
Reservations for the dinners and/or take-outs need to be made by calling the Waterbury Senior Center at 244-1234. All requests must be received by Monday, November 21st. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide deliveries of meals this year outside of the Senior Center or accommodate walk-ins.
All time to prepare the meals, serve the food, decorate the dining room, provide gifts for seniors and cleanup is done by volunteers. Businesses and individuals that would like to donate money for gifts or provide unwrapped gifts for seniors may call Albert Caron at 244-7202 or Marge Gulyas at 802-793-0879.
