Scout Open House

Past event

The last Hartford Troop 40 Open House on 10/24, with displays, skills instruction areas and ice cream generated NO attendees. The Troop is 95 years old, does a lot for the community and surrounding areas, teaches boys countless skills and values and will NOT survive without membership. SO, not willing to give up, we will try again. If you ever wondered why the cemeteries look so nice with new flags at Memorial Day, thank a Scout. Who did the Veterans Day ceremony? Thank a Scout. Cleaned up the local park-thank a Scout. Etc. Etc.

Hartford Scout Troop 40 still has some openings for Hartford, Argyle and Hudson Falls boys (11-17) (or any boy in Washington or Rutland Counties) interested in Scouting and being a Farm Scout/Lone Scout. Based in Hartford, boys will attend an adventurous program at their own pace. There will be a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. You will help your community, your family and yourselves as you learn skills and develop leadership ability. This program is for those who believe they have the capability for participating in an adventurous program. This program can be designed around those with multiple extracurricular activities. Attend an informational/signup meeting on Nov. 14th at 6:30 pm at the South Hartford Church House (corner of Route 40 and Route 196). Call Scoutmaster Jeff Cornell with any questions at 518-747-7141.
