A long-standing summer tradition continues in Poultney, as the Poultney Public Library hosts its annual Book Sale on Saturday, July 5th. The sale, which runs from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, draws in book sellers and book lovers from surrounding states. Library staff and trustees run this annual event as a fundraiser for the library, to help supplement the library’s operating budget.
Despite the fact that early bird viewing is not allowed, customers begin lining up for the sale as much as an hour before. Traditionally as many books are sold in the first hour of the Book Sale as are sold in the final seven hours combined.
After a successful trial run last year, we will again be setting up the mass market paperbacks in front of the library, with the rest of the Book Sale set up behind the library under a large tent.
With paperbacks starting at $0.10 each and hardcover books starting at $0.25 each, this sale is not to be missed! For a wide selection of books for children and adults, used DVDs, CDs, and Audiobooks, come to the Poultney Public Library Annual Book Sale on Saturday, July 5th between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. The Poultney Public Library is located at 205 Main St. in Poultney, VT. For more information, call the library at 802-287-5556.
