Thursday November 10, the Justice Reading Group of Bennington and the Bennington Bookshop are proud to present a virtual author talk with Dale Maharidge, the Pulitzer Prize-Winning author of F**ked at Birth: Recalibrating the American Dream for the 2020s from Unnamed Press.

Motivated by this haunting phrase — "F**ked at Birth" — Maharidge criss-crossed the country, exploring the realities of being poor in America in the coming decade, as pandemic, economic crisis and social revolution up-end the country. Part raw memoir, part dogged, investigative journalism, and featuring photos from across the US, F**ked At Birth channels the history of poverty in America to help inform the voices Maharidge encounters daily.
