Rotary Speaker: Michael Dupee - Biomimicry

Past event
Nov 10, 2022, 7:30 to 8:30 AM

Join the Williston-Richmond Rotary Club when we hear from guest speaker Mike Dupee who will talk about 'Solving Human Design Problems through Biomimicry.'

You may have heard the story of the invention of Velcro based on the structure of burrs. Did you know that the ridges on the pectoral fins of humpback whales inspired the shape of wind turbine blades? There are many other fascinating examples of how biomimicry, a discipline that draws on the natural world to inspire innovation, has led to breakthroughs in design.

To join in person or via Zoom, please RSVP to RotaryClubofWillistonVT@gmail.com.
