Diy Bitters with Local Author Guido Masé

Past event
Nov 9, 2022, 7 to 8 PM

Herbal digestive bitters are, at their most basic, simple extracts where key ingredients are steeped in alcoholic spirits, then strained and bottled for use. Join local herbalist, Guido Masé to explore some of the history behind these convivial preparations, learn the basic template for making your own, along with some simple recipes from traditional maple bitters, to more adventurous "dreaming bitters", to a classic salty blend you can add to a Bloody Mary. Co-presented by Phoenix Books and the Vermont Italian Cultural Association. Guido is co-author of DIY Bitters, available at Phoenix Books.
