Hi! It's Deb, your local STEM educator and aerospace engineer. I'm offering a series of STEM workshops for kids at the Pierson Library, starting with a Taking Things Apart class on Nov. 12. Come check out this great opportunity to try something new and messy, in a friendly, positive environment. Registration is limited to 20 families, so sign up early.

Taking Things Apart!
A Family STEM Workshop

Pierson Library (Old Town Hall room)

Learn how everyday things work through the simple act of taking them apart. We teach safety and how to use tools, then you dissect real machines with the help of our friendly engineers and volunteers. Enjoy taking things apart and making a mess at the library, without getting in trouble. Great for girls! Lead by a female engineer.

Bring broken/unloved small appliances or old toys to dissect. (See flyer for more details)
Parent required to attend with student (to sign safety waiver).
Best for ages 8+, fine for ages 5+.
