For the months of November and December, the Charlotte Library will exhibit a collection of paintings and drawings of people from our community by a group of artists that gather to paint on Thursday afternoons at a studio on Mt. Philo Road in Charlotte. The artists are excellent, and the work is definitely worth seeing! Please stop by the library. Also, anyone is welcome to join the group to paint, draw or model. The environment at the studio is casual and relaxed with fun conversation, good music, and lots of laughter. The models are people of varying ages, looks, ethnicities, and genders, and the artists paint or draw in a wide variety of styles and mediums including oils, acrylics, pencil and charcoal. Models are paid $20/hour and sit for 20 minutes at a time with 5 or 10 minute breaks over a four hour session. For more information contact Tonya Bates at tbates@gmavt.net.
