The Granite City 5k Run/Walk for Veterans takes place this coming Saturday in Barre. You can sign up to participate either in person or remotely. Virtual participants should complete their walk/run no later than November 5 on a course of your own choosing. All ages are welcome, and all proceeds from the event will benefit the Veterans' Place in Northfield. In person registration begins at 9am at Barre Legion Post #10; however, it is easy to register online at https://thebarrepartnership.enmotive.com/events/register/granite-city-5k-run-walk-for-veterans-2022.

In addition, there is a silent, online auction going on right now as part of the GC5K event. Bid on a one-night stay at the Margaret Holland Inn, jars of locally produced honey or maple syrup, gift certificates for massages, restaurants, gifts, and flowers, plus all kinds of other goodies.
