Winter is coming – and energy prices are high, from electricity to home heating fuel. But help is available to pay those high bills now and improve your home so your future bills are lower! Speak with experts on energy help programs for New Hampshire and Vermont residents and get free DIY weatherization materials at the Affordable Energy Resources Fair on Saturday, Nov. 19th at the LISTEN Community Dining Hall in WRJ.
Applying for help can be complicated - It's hard to know who to ask for support and if it will actually be worth it! Our event will help Upper Valley community members find the right programs and resources to save them money and reduce their fuel use, in VT and NH. This might mean taking home some free tools to help prevent cold air from getting in under doors and through windows. Or maybe it means applying for a program that will pay someone's heating bill so they can focus on paying their other bills. It doesn't matter if someone is struggling to make ends meet or looking to invest their savings in their home's energy efficiency – We hope to offer something for everyone, including a little food! We hope people struggling to pay bills will find support, and people with savings to invest in their home's energy efficiency will find new opportunities. Please feel free to reach out to anna@vitalcommunities.org or call and leave a message at 802-291-9100x117 if you have any questions ahead of time so we can be best prepared to provide you with the answers you're seeking!
