I want to share with my neighbors why I support Dina John, the candidate of my party, the Progressive Party, to replace Councilor Jack Hanson. The Progressive Party is not a club or a clique, but a group of individuals committed to addressing the fundamental problems facing our city and beyond, based on a set of specific principles that promote of economic, social and environmental justice. Its elected members are pragmatic and compromise to get things done, while maintaining those principles and keeping justice and equity in sight.

Dina worked hard to gain the Progressive nomination because she is committed to these values. She will listen, apply her experience, and do what she thinks best for our wards and the city, without worrying about falling in line behind the mayor. No just going along with giving away our municipal assets, and government for the sake of developers. She is young and fearless, which is a critical need for the city, and yet she has truly essential experience working in the court system that we need right now with the social stresses we face.
