Event: June 30, 2014

The Westford Planning Commission would like to invite all members of the community to a public workshop on Monday June 30th at 7:00 p.m. at the Brick Meeting House to discuss potential changes to Westford’s Zoning Regulations.

You may recall seeing the Planning Commission tent at last year’s Fourth of July and 250th Anniversary Celebrations. We’ve taken your input and crafted a potential “form based” code for commercial and multi-use development in the town center area. Form-based code is a relatively new approach to zoning that allows more flexibility in how buildings are used and provides basic templates on how new buildings and development should fit into the community.

To help you visualize what the changes could mean, we have created a visual model of what development could look like under current regulations and under the potential changes. They will be presented on June 30 and can also be viewed beforehand at the Town Office.

Take some time to check out the model in the Town Office and come by on the 30th. We need the community’s input. Let us know if we are on the right track!
