The Friends of the Aldrich Library invite you to a free book signing with Alan Kessler on Wed., October 26, at 6 pm at the library. Kessler's newest book, Ghost Dancer, was published this summer; copies will be available for purchase and signing at the program.

Set in the 1950s in a small, Midwestern town, Ghost Dancer blends the mystical with a coming of age story. Kirkus Reviews calls it "an eclectic story" that addresses themes of racism, intolerance, and the quest for identity. A native of Ohio and the author of seven novels, Kessler has lived in the Barre area for several years and is an active Friend of the Library. He will speak about the process of writing his novels, and the Friends will offer refreshments during the signing.
