In the 1850s, the Robinson family of Ferrisburgh held séances in the now historic home. These sessions were transcribed at the time by an observer and are now part of the Museum collection. Join Rokeby Museum on Halloween weekend for an immersive historic experience. Ticket holders will gather for hot cider and a short talk on the history of spiritualism in Vermont before being led into the historic home to experience the actual séances brought to life word-for-word by actors. This participatory dramatization allows you to witness what the real séances were like for the Robinsons 170 years ago.
Held at Rokeby Museum in the Historic Robinson Home.
The program lasts about an hour, limited to 14 people per group.
