Celebrate Independence Day in the Islands! The 9th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza starts at dusk on Wednesday, July 3 at Knight Point State Park in North Hero. Sponsored and organized by A&B Beverage, and presented by the Islands Center for Arts and Recreation, the Lake Champlain Islands Economic Development Corporation and VT Department of Parks, the evening will feature fireworks by NorthStar, the band Free Drinks/314, barbecue by the VFW and strawberry treats from Pomykala Farm. The event is free and open to all. Come after 5 p.m. for swimming and picnicking. Knight Point State Park is a “trash in, trash out” facility, so please be prepared to take your trash with you. No dogs are allowed, including in parked cars.
