Dear Neighbors,

This coming Monday, the City Council will convene its second of two scheduled meeting for the month of October.

You are welcome to attend the Council meeting in person at Contois Auditorium OR Remotely via ZOOM at the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82598412825
or by phone 1 929 205 6099 Webinar ID: 825 9841 2825

You can also join us via Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist list=PLljLFn4BZd2PwCge7lNoKug676jIf_iUA
You can sign up for public forum via this link: https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/citycouncil/publicforum or in person by completing a sign-up form inside Contois.

We will begin our meeting at 6pm with a work session on redistricting. We will see some new map configurations as we hopefully get closer to finding a map that arrives at a reasonable consensus for the Council as well as one that garners community support. We will hold a short public forum prior to the work session.

After the full public forum beginning at 7:30pm after the work session, the Council will hold an executive session on CityPlace following up on the public presentation on developments taking place with this project at our last meeting on October 17.

Once out of executive session, we have several items on our deliberative agenda, as follows:

• We will receive an update from the Reparations Task Force on their work over the past year and their work plan for the coming year.
• We will have a presentation on a report that was done on the Mental Health Summit that took place in September.
• We will be voting on the ordinance that will define the methodologies and process we will be using in our implementation of Ranked Choice Voting.
• Our last item on our deliberative agenda is a resolution to create a Homeshare Vermont pilot incentive program.

I would encourage you to check out our agenda on board docs at http://www.boarddocs.com/vt/burlingtonvt/Board.nsf/Public.

As always, I welcome your questions, concerns, and comments, so please be in touch. Your voice matters and I am grateful for your input.

I hope you have a wonderful fall weekend.

My best,
Karen
