Hello Burlington Friends!

We have exactly 19 days to determine our kids' educational fate and this is a call for action!

Please join me (Joanna Grossman), Mike Fisher, and some of your friendly school board members on Sunday Oct. 23rd at 7:30 pm on Zoom to learn what you can do to get our high school bond passed! Ballots are out and thousands have already voted. The time is now! There's a million ways you can help and lots of them take less time than reading this email. PLEASE join us.

We are reaching out to you today because we are worried about the high school bond passing on November 8th. The school district has ramped up their campaigning. Mike and I are collaborating with them to engage and activate community members like yourself to spread and amplify the message.

Is the bond expensive? Yes. Am I up for paying more taxes? No. But the district is doing the best they can with the crappy hand we have been dealt. Passing this bond is our best case scenario. The Macy's lease will expire in 2025 so to build a new high school by 2025, the District needs permission to start borrowing money now. If we wait, we will likely end up in a position where we are without a high school. We NEED this to pass.
