Dear neighbors,

This Sunday, October 23 from 3-5 pm, we will be continuing our Community Science species inventory at the Pine Street Barge Canal. Since May, led by Jess Rubin of MycoEvolve, we have spent a couple of hours twice a month identifying and logging plant, animal and fungal species on the wild land at the Barge Canal. There are hundreds of them!

We enter our observations on iNaturalist (https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/community-science-for-the-barge-canal) where trained "verifiers" confirm the species. It's a great way to learn about nature for adults and kids.

Wear long pants and good shoes or boots. Rain or shine. Meet at the gate on Pine Street across from Dealer.com. Let me know if you have questions. Hope to see you there.
