The skies look like they'll be clear and the Orionid meteor shower will be at peak, the skies get dark early, so it's a great time for a star party at the Northern Skies Observatory in Peacham!
Early autumn skies will feature the Andromeda Galaxy, Jupiter and Saturn, among many other deep sky objects!
As always, park in the Peacham School lot and follow the lights up the hill to the observatory. Dress for temperatures about 20 degrees colder than the thermometer says. Please leave your flashlights at home!
Check www.facebook.com/nkaf.org for any late breaking weather news! This will probably be the final star party of the season, so we hope to see you there!
