Guilford Freedom-Fest June 28

Past event
Jun 28, 2014

Guilford's Annual Freedom Fest is being celebrated on Saturday June 28th at the Broad Brood Grange from 10-2pm.

Opening this event at 10am is an inspirational 5K run/walk beginning at 10am, passing through dairy farms and country roads. Starting gate is at Broad Brood Grange in Guilford Center and registration opens at 9am. Prizes will be awarded for different levels.

Guilford's Freedom Fest Parade will begin at 11am. This charming parade represents the spirit of small town enthusiasts, young and old. Probably considered the shortest and sweetest parade in Southern Vermont.

Immediately following the parade is a family BBQ, live music and games. The Any-Berry Pie Contest will be judged at 12noon. Pies are to be brought to Broad Brook Grange by 11am. Prizes will be awarded for both flavor and presentation.

New this year is a tasting table for local "Sapling Maple Liqueur" provided by Saxtons River Distillery. Small samples will be distributed and Sapling products will be for sale on site.

Locally made Guilford Crafts and Syrup will be available.
