WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 19TH : FOOD SHELF HOURS: 12 noon to 6 pm

SCHOOL IN SESSION: For those who might come mid-afternoon, please be aware of school buses (avoid lining up in the usual turn-around) and watch for parents and children crossing from Claussens in front of the Food Shelf.

MASK WEARING: Please continue to WEAR A MASK when talking with Food Shelf volunteers. Volunteers continue to wear masks throughout their shift.

PROOF OF RESIDENCE INFORMATION: If you have not been to the Food Shelf before or if you have not been in 2022, please bring Proof of Residency of Colchester. Proof would be a current bill, lease, etc with your name and address, but not a driver's license or car registration.

THANKSGIVING TURKEY AND DINNER FIXINGS OPTION: There is a question on the shopping list regarding your desire to have Thanksgiving dinner items. We will keep it on the shopping list for a Yes or No answer through the first week of November.

GARDENERS AND THEIR FRESH VEGETABLES: Thank you so much for the fresh produce from our local gardeners during the growing season. The fresh produce was very much appreciated.

DONORS: If you are planning to bring a donation, please try to come early. There are volunteers at the Food Shelf at 11:00 am, preparing for Wednesday hours. PLEASE DO NOT leave donations if there is no volunteer there. Some items that we use in monthly groceries include: apple juice, Progresso or Chunky Campbell soups with chicken or beef; Cereals – Honey-Nut Cheerios, raisin bran, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes; Pasta Sauce (no meat). Please, nothing outdated. THANKSGIVING DONATION INFORMATION will be noted here within the next couple of weeks along with the dates and times for the two Saturdays we are usually open for Thanksgiving donations. Thank You for your help!
