When youth feel like they matter, they are more likely to: stay connected to the communities they are from, take healthy risks that support learning and development, form intergenerational connections, become leaders on issues they care about, have better mental and physical health for the rest of their lives, etc. In public health, mattering is known as a key protective factor.
Spend an hour learning about the science of youth mattering and how you can work to improve connections to young people in our community. This is a conversational, informal, virtual gathering led by Sultana Khan. Donate as you are able to support this community work--everyone is welcome to attend. Please commit to telling one person outside your family unit about this in order to attend!
