I still remember the first time I heard one of Larry Gordon's Village Harmony groups perform ... I nearly feel out of my seat! The energy, vibrancy, and spirit blew me away.

This weekend Capital City Concerts brings the long-awaited Legacy of Larry Gordon concerts -happening in Burlington on Friday, and Montpelier on Saturday (Montpelier tickets are going fast.)

Larry's best legacy is his proteges. He lives on through them and you'll get to hear some of the best this weekend. This ONE-TIME concert had been created JUST FOR OUR COMMUNITY. The music will include from American shape-note, to Baroque and Renaissance music (JS Bach and Charpentier), and folk songs from Georgia, Corsica, and the Balkans.

Sophie Michaux is one of the 6 musicians performing. She is an incredibly versatile musician. Check out some of these youtube links below to get a sense of her artistry, depth and breadth. To learn more about the ensemble and to order tickets to these concerts go to www.capitalcityconcerts.org

Hoping to see you at the concerts!
