The "Montpelier Contra Dance" happens this evening, please join us for a fun and welcoming dance, live music and great dance calling. As always, held at the Capital City Grange Hall on Rt. 12, just one mile south of Montpelier.
Tonight's dance features Nils Fredland teaching and calling interesting dances, and wonderful music by The Turning Stile--which includes Aaron Marcus on keyboard, concertina and banjo, with Joanne Garton on fiddle.
There will be an Instruction/refresher session at about 7:40 PM, followed by dancing from 8:00 to 11:00. We always welcome new folks to the dance, and many experienced dancers are happy to dance with people who come to try out contra-dancing.
We require masks for all dancers--N95, KN94/95s or medical/surgical masks--we give away masks if you need one. Admission prices: $12 for adults, $5 for kids or low-income folks, or be a "dance supporter" for $20 and help us pay the great callers, musicians and sound techs who make the dancing great. We appreciate everyone who comes, no matter what you can pay!
