On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the North Branch Nature Center, join Paul Carnahan, state historian and author of Montpelier: Images of Vermont's Capital City, to discover the history of downtown Montpelier. We will examine how the city's buildings and bridges have responded to the natural environment and defined our community. Prior to the event, participants are encouraged to head outside and try the History Scavenger Hunt, which is available at www.northbranchnaturecenter.org/PLACE. Answers will be revealed at the talk!
This program is part of a series of community events presented by Montpelier PLACE, a collaboration of the Montpelier Conservation Commission, Montpelier Parks Department, and North Branch Nature Center. It is an initiative of the University of Vermont and Shelburne Farms.
All events are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
