Stargazing Postponed to Tomorrow Night!

Past event
Oct 15, 2022, 6:30 PM

We're getting A LOT of rain today, and tonight is supposed to be cloudy...not so good for stargazing. But TOMORROW, is supposed to be quite sunny (so things will dry up a bit) and skies are supposed to be CLEAR during the early hours of the night...which is GREAT for stargazing. So, we're going to postpone our outing to tomorrow night...same time, same place!

Here are the updated details...

Join Fox Paw and naturalist Bradley Materick for an evening of stargazing at the Stranahan Town Forest! Bring your curiosity and questions about all things astronomical…from mythology to cosmology! We'll hike from the Stranahan's Jake Martin Road trailhead about half a mile to the top of the Moon Field, where we can get a glorious 360-degree view of the sky. Here are the details…

When: Saturday, October 15th at 6:30PM
Where: Meet at the Stranahan Town Forest parking area on Jake Martin Road
Map: https://goo.gl/maps/JfWkD4TDr9bvxZZEA
Cost: FREE!

What to Bring: Except for the initial half-mile hike, we won't be moving around much, so bring plenty of warm clothes, and maybe a thermos of hot tea or cocoa! Also, if you want to bring a lightweight folding chair or a blanket to sit on, that could make things more comfy. Lastly, if you have binoculars (or can borrow some), definitely bring them!

RSVP: Please call or email Bradley to let him know that you are planning to attend this outing (802-578-3050 – jbmaterick@gmail.com).
