Please help fill area firehouses with food! Firefighters will be collecting food and monetary donations for the Have-A-Heart Food Shelf in Bristol on Sat., Oct 22. Each fire station in the Five Towns of Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton, New Haven & Starksboro will be open on October 22 from 9 am - 12 noon to receive your donations. Please be sure that food donations have "Best By" dates which have not expired. Canned/boxed foods most needed are: Pasta, pasta sauce, diced tomatoes, black/kidney beans, baked beans, soup, tuna, salmon, chicken, vegetables, fruit, peanut butter, mac 'n cheese, cereal. Checks made out to "Have-A-Heart" are also welcome. Thank you for helping to feed those in our communities who are food insecure.
