To anyone interested in becoming a volunteer or chaperone:
On Monday, August 26, 2013, from 6-7pm, we will be having a "background check" night at the school. Anyone who is interested in volunteering or chaperoning school trips must have a background check completed for our district. While some of you may have had a background check done for another school district or organization, we still require that one is done for Grand Isle Supervisory Union. The fee for the paperwork with GISU is $15.00. You can either write a check payable to GISU or bring $15.00 cash (exact change only- our office is not able to make change for anyone). You will also need to bring two forms of ID with you, one of which must be a photo ID. Examples of acceptable forms of ID are a passport, driver's license, social security card or birth certificate. Please be advised that your background check cannot be processed unless two forms of ID are presented and payment is received.

The Sheriff's Office will also be there to do fingerprints for everyone. After the initial paperwork is completed, you will then need to have your fingerprints taken. There is a separate fee of $20.00 that is payable to the sheriff's office. They can accept a check or cash, but again, if you are paying with cash, it must be the exact change, as they are not able to make change.

**Please keep in mind that the payments to the GISU Central Office and the Sheriff's Office are two separate payments, and cannot be combined on the same check.**
