Consign & Shine: Thanks for Helping at Ski & Skate Sale
How did this sale start anyway & why?
Four decades ago, a cool tradition started at Waitsfield Elementary School. A few hundred folks propped up their skis, boots, skates and other winter gear against the walls of the school gym and looked at what others brought. There was even a special volunteer whose job it was to keep all the skis from falling over! And while the Ski & Skate Sale's come a long way since then, the core mission remains the same: making winter activities more accessible by making it more *affordable* through consigned and swap-priced new and used goods. Proceeds from the sale helps the W.E.S. PTA fund winter ski and ride activities plus other enrichment programs, like Kindergarten ECO, school plays, Inspiration Project and many others. Sale is 100% volunteer-powered by countless school and community members - and we couldn't be more grateful!

1. Shine: You've got skills - go ahead and show them off! Ever cashiered? Know lots about ski jackets, base layers, kids gear, skis or hockey skates? Like greeting people at the door? We have a job for you! Naturally, you get first dibs with early shop privis + eats (sooo good).

2. Consign: Give your old gear new life! We're welcoming back consignment of soft goods this year in addition to hard goods. Find those bins of outgrown or unused items - and convert them to cash at our Sale!
