The Hinesburg Affordable Housing Committee is organizing The ABCs of ADUs: a forum on accessory dwelling units. It will be on Thursday, October 20, at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Hinesburg Parish Hall. Accessory dwelling units, sometimes called in-law apartments, can be built into a house, above a garage or barn, or can be a separate building on a property. They can provide supplemental income or be a space for aging parents.
We will have experts speak on the zoning and permitting process in Hinesburg as well as the design and construction of units. There will be cider and treats!
