The Champlain Philharmonic, conducted by Matt LaRocca, presents its Fall Concert Series on Saturday, October 22 at 7:30 pm, at Grace Congregational Church in Rutland and Sunday, October 23 at 4:00 pm at Town Hall Theater in Middlebury. This community orchestra has quite a Shrewsbury following and includes four current/former townspeople, Kristi Bragg, Megan LaChance, Roxanne Ramah, and Mary Barron as well as Wallingford's Kathy Luzader. The program will feature music reflecting all the different ways we have love in our lives, including Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, selections from Bernstein's West Side Story, Holst's Jupiter from The Planets, and will also include works by Vermont composers Su Lian Tan and CPO's own Matt LaRocca.
