Tincture-making De-mystified with Melanie Putz Brotz, RD

Join me for a hands-on workshop making tinctures from fresh and dried wild medicinal plants sourced locally. I will provide the plant materials and the alcohol tincture base, and we will prepare the plants and make the tinctures together. You will receive a detailed chart listing medicinal plants and their tincturing requirements. (Dried vs Fresh, best solvent, alcohol %, etc). We will also discuss tincture usage, dosage, and storage, as well as additionalplant preservation and storage methods including simple techniques for drying your own herbs for teas and culinary use. You will go home with a 4 oz. jar of the actively-extracting tincture of your choice.

Register early; Class size limited to 8 participants. Workshop fee is $25. (includes $5. materials fee.)
