We will focus on Hügelkultur - which is German for mound culture. Instead of big burn piles, you can use your extra wood to improve your garden beds. We have been experimenting with this method for 5 years and love the results. Instead of burning, build a Hugel mound where the nutrients will slowly break down while releasing nutrients that your garden can use. The mounds also aid in keeping crops healthy in extreme weather conditions: both too much rain, or too little. The mounds are also used by some pollinators as overwintering sites.

Everyone is welcome, there will activities for children, refreshments will be served.
