Planning Commission Public Hearings

Past event
Oct 19, 2022, 7 to 9 PM

The Planning Commission would like to invite you to come to our next two meetings on October 19th and November 2nd. These are our public hearings on the changes that we are considering making to our Richmond Zoning Regulations for the Village Residential/Commercial and the Gateway Residential/Commercial zoning districts. The two districts under consideration are our "mixed use" districts, lying mostly along our main roads just beyond our Village Downtown district (which consists of the upper Bridge Street block). The strictly residential neighborhoods within the village are not under consideration with this set of amendments; they will be considered at a later date, as will the strictly commercial districts.

The meeting on the 19th will focus mostly on the Village R/C district, and on Nov 2nd we will focus on the Gateway R/C. Some of the secondary amendments that we need to make in order for our amended districts to be compatible with the rest of the zoning document are pertinent to both of these districts, so we will likely be considering them at both hearings. A full set of documents for the hearing on the 19th is currently available on the Town website (Town of Richmond – Boards and Meetings – Planning Commission – October 19th meeting) and the Nov 2nd materials will be posted on October 14th. The hearings are at 7 PM and will be hybrid, so may be attended in person (Town Center) or via zoom. The zoom information can be found with the meeting materials. For any questions, contact Ravi Venkataraman at rvenkataraman@richmondvt.gov.

Thanks for thinking with us about how we want Richmond to grow and meet the challenges of today and tomorrow, without losing what we love!
