Hi Neighbors!
I wanted to invite you to our Wi-Fi launch this Thursday, June 26, at 7pm.
You may have seen the article in the Record about this project already (if not, you can find it here: http://www.stowetoday.com/waterbury_record/news/article_ed896312-f196-11e3-88cc-001a4bcf887a.html )
This Thursday, we'll be celebrating the new, free public downtown WiFi zone, called "the Waterbury Connection," which was funded, developed, and implemented by the Vermont Digital Economy Project with additional funding from the Vermont Telecommunications Authority, and local support from the Town and Village of Waterbury.
The launch event will tie into the weekly farmers’ market and summer concert series in Rusty Parker Park. The event will include an introduction to the Wi-Fi zone, with an opportunity for anyone to have their questions about the network answered. There will also be an interactive photo sharing activity, and a “wire cutting” ceremony.
If you're planning on going to either the Farmers' Market or the Music in the Park, we'd love to see you stop by and celebrate this new resource for everyone in Waterbury. And even if you don't make it, check it out next time you're in town. You can log onto "the Waterbury Connection" as you would any other Wi-Fi network from your phone, tablet or laptop.
Thanks!
