As part of Montpelier Art Walk this evening, Friday, October 7th, VNRC will be hosting an opening reception for Karen Schaefer, our Artist in Residence for the next three months. Schaefer's exhibit, "The Liminal Season", is a collection of oil and mixed media paintings on both canvas and paper that explore the transitional time between late season sunflowers and early snowfall in our landscapes. Karen will join us to discuss the methods and inspiration behind her art.
Doors will be open to the public between 4:00 to 8:00 pm, with free refreshments (cookies, apple cider, and hors d'oeuvres) while supplies last. Visit us at 11 Baldwin Street, venue #19 on tonight's Art Walk, and show your support for local artists and environmental protection!
If you can't make it in person tonight, there's will be another opportunity to see Karen's work on display on December 2nd for the next installment of the Montpelier Art Walk.
